lol…. Today it Rains

                          I wish I could cover your screen in giggles!

I laugh. A lot.  A total habit. My sense of humor is pretty good. I think it came from my parents. Both very funny people when they want to be, even though they don’t think that they are. And my brothers, well,humor  is pretty much all day every day with them. Each one with their own style. And I, I  am the happy audience.

Sometimes I’m funny, maybe more witty than full on jokes but, out right slapstick  comedy was never really my thing. So, I laugh. Laughter is free which is nice and  I hear it’s great therapy, which is good because with how much I laugh I wouldn’t want to see the bill. It releases endorphins, relieves stress – it’s all good.

So, sometimes people write me the greatest e-mails, friends, family,comments on my blog, and I want to express my reaction to them  properly-in a true me style-but, it’s hard to express love in text, happiness in pixels. lol just doesn’t seem to fulfill what I would like it to, to share what I want to. Smiley faces times ten; is there such a symbol? Not that I’ve come across. When I first saw lol I thought someone misspelled something. The little semi colon/smiley face wink? Does it really give the fluttering feeling of a good playful tease?  Alas, I do not believe so. 

I just wish I could cover your screen in giggles. This  is my cyber wish of the day for you.

Quote of the Day… and a ‘When Harry Met Sally’ Question

O.K. I think this may fall under the ‘ When Harry met Sally ‘ catagory. Some people really believe ( my mother for one ) that if a man and a woman are friends or even really good friends they are destined to end up in a romantic relationship at some point in time. Maybe it will be a very short affair, maybe a lifetime. I have been wondering about that. All my life I have definetly had friends who were guys and maybe as a child that is normal. I always figured it was because I have three brothers so, I was used to their sillyness . But, now as I get older and I’m friends with a guy people automatically assume  that things are going to get steamy…Let me just say now that that has yet to be seen. So, I don’t know. The whole ” love is friendship on fire “ thing does make sense to me.

If you are not friends with your love interest I don’t see it working out.I don’t even see how it is possible. But sometimes people are just funny and enjoyable.You like them, they make you laugh, you could cherish their friendship even and what they bring to your life. It doesn’t mean they give you sleepless nights, that you want to inhale and fill your lungs with their warm scent lingering on a sweater, or accidentally fall into their eyes completely unsuspecting. 

So, what’s the difference? Passion, I think? The chemistry, connection, desire. The stuff of love songs, chick flicks, and magic. The stuff that happens for no reason at all, but is the whole reason. 

Well, I’ve thought about it without a definite answer so, I’m sending it out to the Universe and to you my cyber friends. What are your thoughts , wisdom, and experiences?
